Content Creation and Copywriting

Client: Rutabaga Entertainment

The Project: Rutabaga Entertainment is a Creative Agency I started in august 2020 along with my partner Juan. The agency focuses on producing photography and video for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

The Strategy: Since Rutabaga didn’t have an online presence, I created a website along with a blog series that would serve the purpose of engaging our audience with inspiring and relevant content in order to generate brand awareness.

The Pieces:

  • Why Starting Your Own Creative Project Will Change Your Life: The idea for the post originated from one of the main pillars of our brand. Inspiration. I wanted to write a blog post that gave our audience an inside look into what inspired us to create Rutabaga but I also wanted to invite them into our narrative, and to feel that this post wasn’t about us, it was about inspiring and connecting with our audience.

  • How to Plan Your Brand's Photoshoot for Social Media: The idea for this post was to make an educational infographic that would help our audience prepare for a day of shooting content for social media. I wanted to make a short but useful list that the audience could refer to when getting ready for a brand photoshoot, I also wanted it to make it simple and not technical since a big part of our audience are small business owners that are venturing into DIY projects, or folks who are pursuing creative endeavours and might not have a background in photography.

  • A Condensed Guide to Making a Promo Video for Your Business: The idea for the post originated from wanting to create an informative video for our audience, where we could show them the steps on how to create a video for a brand. While brainstorming, I though it would be helpful in terms of strategy to collaborate with a brand in order to gain visibility so I spoke to my friends Skye and Jade to create a promo video that could showcase their business. After doing their video, I realized that the post needed to offer more value to my audience, which is why I edited a second video explaining the step by step of how we make our video.

Client: Somerset General | Humber College Group Project

The Project: Somerset General is an online vintage shop based in Toronto. After performing a content audit and analysis for the brand, my team and I created a set of content pieces that would be implemented as part of the brand’s content strategy.

The Strategy: Taking our client’s resources into consideration, my team and I created a set of content pieces that covered content gaps to generate brand awareness and trust.
